Taste of Winter Festival

Christmas is just around the corner, and with the cold winter weather upon us, hot food is appreciated more than ever. If you’re looking for something to do during the Christmas period, why don’t you drop by the Taste of London Winter festival? The festival takes place between the 20th and 23rd November at the Tobacco Dock in East London.

It’s a great opportunity for tourists, locals and people from across the country alike to come together and get a taste for London’s finest food, with live music and cooking displays.

What to Expect

If you attend the Taste of Winter festival, you can expect the venue to be full of character. You’ll agree with us in saying the Tobacco Dock’s Victorian architecture and modern fittings are truly the perfect setting for the festival. It’s one of the greatest restaurant festivals in the world, packed with four days of eating, drinking and entertainment.

You’ll have the chance to taste delicious signature dishes from London’s hottest Michelin star restaurants. It’s more than likely you’ll recognise some faces, as many of the top chefs in the country will be the putting their individual twists on winter classics. Have a look at this full list of chefs who will be attending the Taste of London Winter festival.

Indulge in cheese, wine and chocolate tastings, available at the various market stalls; wander the outdoor balconies and overlook the live music and cooking displays.

What’s on

There are various displays and live entertainment available throughout the course of the festival. This includes live demonstrations from a selection of the world’s best chefs at the ‘Electrolux Taste Theatre’. For more information on when the demonstrations are held, and who’ll be demonstrating, click on the link.

You can also go along to ‘The Fire Pit’, which is in association with Field and Flower. The idea is to revitalise the winter BBQ. This event will consist of exciting demonstrations. Watch your favourite chefs bring back the winter BBQ, from char-grilled deer to Sunday roasts.
