Next week on Tuesday it will be St George’s Day, the national day of England. By a strange coincidence April 23 is also the day William Shakespeare was born (1564 – although not confirmed) and died (1616).
St George’s Day Celebrations will take place all over Kent where Spicers of Hythe is based.
From the many celebrations in Kent, I picked up two very interesting events:
St George’s day festival at Dover Castle on Saturday and Sunday 20 / 21 April.
Medieval Tournament at Druidstone Park in Blean nr Canterbury – Saturday and Sunday 20 / 21 April.
With the promise of warmer weather over the weekend, what could be better than a day out? And don’t forget your picnic hamper!
