Fashion for the Brave
Friday 8th November saw the third Fashion for the Brave event take place at the historic Dorchester hotel in London. This black-tie charity gala is organised to raise money for the Household Cavalry Foundation and the Soldiering On Through Life Trust, both of which do wonderful work for our serving and veteran British Armed Forces personnel. Spicers of Hythe donated a Christmas hamper as an auction prize. The culmination of the evening was a dazzling fashion show featuring crème de la crème of British designers.
Fashion for the Brave is the brainchild of former fashion editor at The Telegraph, Hilary Alexander OBE. The event was attended by celebrities such as Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy, as well as HRH Princess Beatrice, who was the event’s patron. The event kicked off with a drinks reception, before a three-course meal was served to the guests in the elegant surroundings in London’s Mayfair. During the evening a silent auction took place, in which, our Yuletide Splendour Ottoman hamper was one of the prizes. The winning bidder won the hamper for £550, we know what they will be enjoying with their friends and family this festive season!
