Spicers of Hythe support Edenbridge-based animal charity
Spicers of Hythe, the luxury hamper specialists, paid a visit to their chosen Christmas charity for 2014 – ‘Last Chance Animal Rescue’ – this week. The Edenbridge-based charity provides essential medical care, food and shelter for the large number of unfortunate animals that are rescued from horrific conditions around the county. Sadly, Christmas is often the time when the charity reaches crisis point.
The Spicers’ ‘Elves’ surprised and delighted the hard working staff at Last Chance Animal Rescue delivering a fabulous festive hamper donated by Spicers (and selected by their Facebook fans), containing a fantastic pile of tasty treats for the animals at Edenbridge. The company also made a £100 cash donation to Last Chance Animal Rescue, as the charity is currently fundraising for the building of a much needed new rescue centre in Romney Marsh.
Why Last Chance Animal Rescue?
The ‘Last Chance Animal Rescue’ is a charity which has a heart-felt resonance with Spicers of Hythe, as dogs have been a much valued part of their family life and tradition for generations. Ian Spicer, Managing Director, concludes: “We all endorse and support the amazing work carried out by the dedicated team at Last Chance Animal Rescue and wish them all a very Happy Christmas and good luck with the fantastic new project in Romney Marsh, we look forward to keeping in touch.”
