If you’re a fan of a Kent food festival then clear your calendar for the last weekend in September – the Canterbury Food and Drink Festival is back.
Last year’s event saw tons of people converge on this ancient Kent city for three days of fun, food and festivities with highlights including a Kentish farmers market, the bandstand and buskers stage and the green hops beer tent.
If you missed out last year then don’t fret, fortunately this years festival is set to be just as good, if not even more spectacular! Join the masses from the 25th to the 27th September at the Dane John Gardens in Canterbury to feast on the delights that the Canterbury Food and Drink Festival has to offer.
There is something for everyone during the weekend, from lazing around on straw bales to enjoying some of the great musicians performing on the music stages. Don’t forget to bring the family too; the kids area is the perfect place to let little ones run wild. There will also be plenty of trade stalls selling a variety of interesting and intricate wares, so why not treat yourself to something to take home with you?
But let’s not forget the standout attendee of the occasion – the unbeatable food and drink. Over 35 stalls of Kent’s finest food and drink will be dotted around the site, making sure that there’s tons of exciting things to tempt your tastebuds. From sweet treats and artisan bakes to local Kentish cider, you’re sure to find something that makes you mouth water.
Eat Street is a new addition to the festival for 2015. Whitefriars Square will play host to an exciting selection of street food stalls from throughout the South East and London, who will be selling an appetising selection of street food from across the globe paired with cocktails and real ales. The vinyl-only DJs playing in Eat Street will help to keep you entertained as you eat your way around the world. Plus, you don’t have to worry about the great British weather throwing some rain into the mix as it’s all under cover!
